I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 with a B.A. in English and a minor in math.

I became skilled at reading text critically and analytically, and I took journalism courses with working editors that honed and expanded my writing abilities—stretching from personal narrative and pop culture critique to long-form journalism and in-depth profile.

Along with writing, my work as a dancer and choreographer cultivated a strong interest in storytelling in its many forms. As the creative director of Arts House Dance Company, I worked to integrate video into dance performances to create a more cohesive, thematic experience. What began as an effort to ease transitions between pieces turned into conceptual video projects created in collaboration with other artists.

Currently, copywriting is a central component of my role at Dotdash Meredith. I publish video content across Home, Food, Health, Beauty, and Travel verticals with an emphasis on crafting accompanying copy that is thoroughly optimized for SEO. I’ve become skilled at adapting my voice to different brands—it’s common for me to shift from InStyle to Better Homes & Gardens to Food & Wine within a typical work day. To align copy with the overall creative direction of each video series and each publication’s brand guidelines, I maintain open lines of communication with cross-functional teams consisting of video producers, creative directors, the strategy team, and editorial staff. Additionally, I work closely with graphic designers to provide creative direction and strategic feedback regarding video thumbnails.

As a professional, I have always gravitated towards marketing, specifically brand marketing, but it’s clear from my resume that I also took time to pursue a career as a professional dancer and arts educator. I could write a novel about the tremendous personal and interpersonal growth I experienced in those two years, especially when it comes to communicating my ideas confidently and taking initiative while working with a team. When COVID pushed me to take a pause from that work in 2020, I reconnected with my creativity outside the performing arts and began cultivating my long-held interest in graphic design and visual arts. Ultimately, my career goal is to blend these creative interests and passions with my innate strategic and analytical abilities.
